  1. Creationist theory should be relegated to religion class and only there.  It should be illigal to pass this off as fucking science.  I swear the lawmakers there are intentionally trying to keep people stupid!

  2. I'm not quite that conspiracy-minded, +Shar Banning — I think it's either (a) honest confusion over what "science" actually is, or (b) pandering to religious supporters who think theological orthodoxy is more important for kids than, oh, "Darwinism".

  3. I don't know…I recently heard the alternative to intelligent design described, by somebody who really is pretty intelligent and isn't strongly religious, as "coincidence."  People clearly are not grasping what evolution is about.
