I’m not at all sure I like that Bill Gates lunch analogy. I think it’s rather insulting to the janitor — assuming Gates would have lunch with his janitor. Where are they lunching? Was it a mutually agreeable date and place? I’ve split lunch bills with people who may not be in Gates’ territory, but certainly have at least 10 times the income I do. If two people say, “Let’s do lunch,” and agree on the location, they split the bill or at least each pays for her own.
The rest of it, I agree with, definitely, just don’t think the lunch analogy is apt.
