The low point of the series. I think that’s what made Saltzman sell his stake in the company, which was a mistake, as the next film was my favorite of the Moore films (largely because it reprises the highlights of the Connery films).
The biggest (unintended) laugh for me comes from the vats that “must be kept at absolute zero.” Riiiiiight.
Christopher Lee was the first celebrity I met. He gave a non-answer to my question, but was more forthcoming when I spoke to him as he gave me his autograph (now lost, sadly). He even shook my hand. (I was a punk teenager. I didn’t know from con etiquette.) And just think… he’s even more famous now that he’s Saruman and Count Dooku as well as Scaramanga and Dracula! 😀
