A lot of proposed solutions to various things assume … a lot from people. That they don't make mistakes. That they follow procedures and common sense and what they would tell you 24×7 is the right thing to do … and that they do it 24×7.
But people err. People have lapses. People goof. They get tired. They get distracted. They get bored. They just … make mistakes.
So any time we set up a policy or solution, we need to consider, realistically … what mistakes could be made, and what might happen if they are?
That way paralysis could lie. But it might also be a way of more realistically judging what solutions are likely to work the way one hopes.
