When in doubt, attack Michelle Obama

If she shows up in public, she's a grasping, publicity-hungry, arrogant, vain woman who's pulling down the dignity of the White House.

If she didn't show up in public, she'd be called a recluse, weird, and people would wonder what the President is hiding. 

If she just showed up for the standard First Lady "pet cause" events, then she would be (as she is) attacked for pushing an agenda, telling people what to do, and (see all the above).

The fact is, it's not at all about what Michelle Obama actually does, it's how the Right Wing media just don't like That Woman in the White House.
