Up on the Roof, Day 1

Our reroofing project begins, as they deliver the shingles. The coolest thing was the big extensible conveyor belt to actually move the shingles up to the to the rooftop.

In addition to replacing our old, fragmenting shake shingles with some new storm-ready asphalt laminate ones, we'll be getting some repair/repainting work done on some of the fascia boards.

The reroofers appear at 7:30a tomorrow morning!

#JDVance is more disgusted that #Republicans are criticizing #VivekRamaswamy 's #Ohio attack ad on #AmyActon than he is over the ad itself. Gotta love those "family values."

The only silver lining here is that I suspect the ad will generate more contributions for Acton than for her vile opponent.

Earlier this month I was automatically sent my #MailInBallot . After filling it out, I dropped it off at a convenient, secure drop box on Monday. The ballot was received by the county, my signature on the envelope was validated, and my vote was counted.

And at each of those steps I got an e-mail and a text message, confirming it.

Plus I got a nice virtual #Blucifer" voting sticker!

Thank you for showing, once again, #Colorado, that this system works.

There is a graduated, progressive #IncomeTax #measure on the ballot this #election in #Colorado, replacing a flat 4.4%, and it is remarkable that the top arguments being levied against this "bizarre/radical" measure are "It's unfair because $500K [the tipping point] isn't that much income," and "Egads, all the rich people will move away to Texas and we will be poor!"

#DonaldTrump doesn't actually say anything *new* in his TIME interview -- but it remains fascinating (and deeply depressing) reading the farrago of lies, delusions, illogic, self-serving, and Bizarro World perspective of what he has to say. Failure is Success! Annihilation is Peace! Lies are Truth! Everyone Loves Me!

Future generations (assuming there are any) will read this stuff and disbelieve this guy was ever let close to the reins of power.
