So why were folks so torqued off about Google's Doodle?

I mean, even if you get beyond the people who thought it was Hugo Chavez, was Cesar Chavez really a less Christian "Eastery" (never mind it was his birthday) a choice than, say, Bing showing Easter Eggs?  If not then why were folks having a conniption?

  1. They're upset because it wasn't the traditional iconography they're used to plus the person honored shared a name similar to a known Godless commie bastard. If everyone doesn't join in in promoting their nationalized religious holiday then they're obviously against said holiday and religion. Isn't that obvious?

  2. I also think they were torqued that anyone not Jesus was featured on Easter, and it especially galled them that notJesus was notWhite.

Whatever. I hope they enjoyed their bitter white chocolate Easter eggs.
