Denver Comic Con by the numbers

48K attendees?  That's pretty big-time for a second-year event (last year was around 28K).  On the other hand, there were some serious growing pains, with 6K turned away at the door on Friday (some after hours in line, and some who apparently had tickets) due to Fire Marshall intervention and poor queue management. Saturday was something of a mess, too, not helped by the Convention Center not letting folks queue up inside, but also because how they had passes and lines managed was darned clumsy and unclear.

Hopefully many notes were taken, and next year will be still better (even if bigger).
