Woot! on I, Claudius.
I still remember waiting for Sunday nights when I was 10 to watch this on Masterpiece Theater. Though, only 2 Eps so far, so no John Hurt yet…or Patrick Stewart…or Patricia Quinn…or Peter Bowles, but hey, they’re coming.
What did Kay think? Especially about Livia?

Livia murders Marcellus, Agrippa and Drusus and forces Tiberius to marry Julia, not very plot twisty to me. Soooo much wonderful villiany all in two short episodes.

I think she sort of dislikes the darker aspects of the tale. Including the above synopsis of the first two episodes.
But maybe you can talk her into it.
