As someone in the comments mentioned (and I knew from ten years of working there), Sam's Club, a division of WalMart, won't be open either.

I think it's more a matter of Costco, BJ's, and Sam's being a different kind of 'retail animal' than anything else.
But, hey, if they want to spin it, more power to them.
Glad to hear Sam's Club will be closed, too.
You're correct that they're something a bit different from a Target / WalMart — Costco, at least, doesn't do much in the way of Big Sale Events. I suspect, though, they could get into "Black Thursday" if they chose to.
