I've never understood the Oxford comma hate. I'm keeping it until I see a solid reason to stop using it.I caved on the double space after a period thing, that's enough compromise for one lifetime.Reply
My problem with the double-space-after-period thing is that it's not a conscious act for me. I've started trying to fight it, though, as at least one person in a writing group I'm in diligently points out when I'm doing it.Reply
I cured myself of it by turning on the setting in Word's grammar nanny. I hate that damn green line. Possibly to an unhealthy degree.Reply
