Anyway, good thinking, even if dubious direction.

EXCLUSIVE: Justice League: War Launches First Salvo for Future DC Animated Features – The creative minds behind Justice League: War explain how it will influence future DC Comics-based animation projects. Plus, an exclusive clip from the film.
Having just really begun to piece together episodes of Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Young Justice, I gotta say I'm sorry this is a reboot, and not the same guys I already know and love.
+Kate Testerman Oh, absolutely. I've beaten this horse before, but DC's made some horrible choices in creative reboots, with the New 52 in general, and, by extension, what they've done with their animated universe.
I mean, sure, YJ was not in the same unvierse as Teen Titans as the Bruce Timmverse (BTAS, STAS, JL, JLU), but they had a similar framework as to the characters and the nature of heroism — Robin, Batman, Superman, Flash, etc., had common character threads. Those are far more strained connections in the New 52, which is part of my big problem with it.
Honestly, I give it a 35% chance I'll actually pick this up. I didn't much care for the comic it was from, so why would I? I applaud DC for making a concerted effort on this, but not for this particular effort.
I haven’t read comics since the 60’s, but I enjoy the DC animated stuff. Judging from JL: War things have really changed. Their new Superman is a smirking bully (and they’ve ruined the most iconic costume ever — if they just HAD to get rid of the red trunks they at least should have kept the yellow belt for balance). I don’t know what happened to Hal Jordan, the cool-headed, responsible test pilot — this guy is Tom Cruise/Top Gun. Likewise, strong but empathic Wonder Woman has been reduced to pure battle-lust. And frankly, none of them seem all that bright. Is this some kind of satire about American imperialism or just a reflection of what our actual ideals have become? I can’t tell.
@paintedjaguar – I think you’ve summed up the New 52 in the DC Universe, comics and (now) video, quite well. I don’t think it’s our “actual ideals” as much as the fanboiz taking over in DC Editorial, believing that to be hip and modern then the heroes have to be not just flawed but unpleasant, but unpleasant in a “Whoa, did you see him smash that guy in the mouth? Awesome!” kind of way. I keep thinking it will eventually grow on me, that I’m just resistant to change — but I’m coming to the conclusion that it’s not me, but them, and that’s why there are passingly few DC books in my weekly pull lists any more.
DC 52 is fine, but to each their own. I purchased the movie and liked it..some changes to the original comic. Not as good as JL: Flashpoint Paradox but enjoyable. I think the New 52 will translate great to DC's live action efforts.
