RIP, Shirley Temple

I've honestly never been a fan of Shirley Temple's screen work. The treacly little kid just never entertained me.

That said, I admire and respect her for having made the transition from child super-star to adulthood with health and grace, and having lived a productive and occasionally prominent life. It seems very few kid stars manage to do that.

#RIP Shirley Temple. Thank you for the laughter, songs, and memories. While she never was in a Disney film, she did have that big moment with Walt at the 1939 Oscars. Plus she later served on the Disney board. Our short tribute inside: http://bit.ly/1csCrU5

  1. I was never a fan of hers growing up, but my father bought a DVD collection of her films for my oldest kids a few years ago, and I found myself loving her. Better late than never, I reckon!
