Since pizza is the #1 asked for item and that is the first thing being attempted by a 3D Food Printer, it sounds like a match made in … food purgatory. 😉
Friend of mine told me the best thing about being on a multinational exercise was the chance to swap the stuff you didn’t want for the stuff someone else didn’t want. As soon as you made camp, you would send someone to a near by unit to barter. I can’t remember what he swapped, but he could never understand why the Americans were always happy to swap their Peanut Butter, which came in a toothpaste-like tube. Apparently it is really nice.
His one regret was he never managed to get a Ghurka 24 hour pack. Liked curry, did Pete.
@LH – The swapping sounds like a very believable tale. The rations are always greener (okay, maybe less green) on the other side of the fence.
Reading the comments jogged my memory – I believe it was either Biscuits, Brown, or Biscuits, Fruit so beloved by the Yanks. The Brits were only too happy to get rid of them, as they had a certain notoriety about what they did to your digestion.
