Makes you wonder about other convicts who claim they're innocent. Sure, that can be a self-serving lie, too. But the more cases like this that come up, the more the presumption that the cop version of what happened in a dispute can simply be trusted implicitly is shaken. And that's not good for anyone — especially the police who are doing their job correctly.

On the other hand… police surveillance camera catches several cops beating man to death; complete footage, from homeless guy peacefully submitting to search to pool of blood left on the pavement. Even after video is made public, all cops walk.
