It wasn't just Memorial Day weekend, but also Kay's birthday and middle school graduation to celebrate.

We had a pretty big crowd, esp. with my Mom and Margie's folks here in town. We managed to have sessions of Guillotine, Betrayal at House on the Hill (Lee was way too thrilled to become the monster), Ticket to Ride (European Edition), Catan (of course), and Milles Bornes. Plus lots of chit-chat and lots of food and drink.

Good times.

Though better known these days for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, she nabbed Oscars earlier in her 70-year career for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969) and California Suite (1978).

Just back from a week-long vacation up into Yellowstone and back down through the plains of SD, WY, NE.

And since we were in Nebraska, and so much brouhaha has been raised of late about #Runza ... we stopped at one to try it out.

I will not say it was life-changing, because it wasn't, but the car consensus is that it was tasty and worth stopping at again in the future ... should we be again in Nebraska.
