To be fair, it was a first episode. I'm giving it a certain measure of break.
But, yeah, +Wil Wheaton, recapping the week's geek news, and having some fun while doing it? Cool. But don't try quite so hard, lest you come off as that guy in the group who tries to top everyone with a joke that's just a bit too off-color. Enthusiasm for the subject will be more impactful than enthusiastic mockery, amiright amiright. You have a good eye for this kind of thing, based on your writing — trust yourself, not the lines-for-yocks.

Haven't watched it. Thought about DVRing it and then forgot. May try to catch the next one.
This is more the sentiment I was expecting (http://www.vulture.com/2014/05/wil-wheaton-project-interview.html) — which reinforces to me a sense of opening night jitters in the show itself. I'll give it another chance or two.
+Dave Hill Interesting that you felt he was too mean, when the most common complaint elsewhere was that his wasn't mean or snarky enough.
Haven't seen it yet myself. FTT.
+Anthony Fawcett Huh. Haven't seen any comments to that effect (though I haven't been looking around for them).
