Cosplay of Evil

This is a fascinating look at a catalog of official robes, hoods, banners (and convenient carrying cases!) for KKK members, back in the 20s.  Looking at it, I'm half-convinced that the decline of the Klan came about, not so much because of a growing enlightenment of the general populace, but because it's hard to be impressed by some guy in a canary yellow satin robe with a red-trimmed cape, and a hood with tassels on the top, even if he is a "Grand Dragon."

But never let it be said that the Klan was not practical. Hoods for the Band Leader and the Band Men leave room for you to get your bassoon up to your lips.
