NEW YORK (AP) — Priceline has negotiated a $2.6 billion entree into the restaurant business. The global travel booking king announced Friday it is acquiring the OpenTable Inc.
If Shatner shows up at my table, I quit.
I use OpenTable a lot, Priceline not at all. No plans to change that.

I wonder what else Priceline owns. Other than the fact that both Priceline and OpenTable deal with discretionary income and with reservations, the two firms aren't really all that related. Unless we'll suddenly be naming our price for dinner.
I'm a travel agent, so I don't use Priceline. I rarely use OpenTable because I have a big family and rarely go out for dinner. And if Shatner showed up at my table, I'd be excited!
+John E. Bredehoft Heh. Actually, if you read the article, they think it ties into their travel business because, well, travelers eat out at restaurants. Similarly, this will provide a basis for expanding OpenTable to more foreign markets.
