Actually, most of the rulings make a certain amount of logic to me — corporations having citizenship so as to be in the jurisdiction of federal courts, corporations not being picked out for singular, punitive laws, corporate property not being subject to unreasonable search and seizure, etc.
I suspect the justices in those cases, though, would have been appalled by how the principle was extended in Citizens United and Hobby Lobby, though, and would have sought some other principle underneath which to provide protection for such legal entities.

One of the many rulings of late which have eroded or degraded our rights and in my opinion violate the trust our forefathers worked so earnestly to establish and maintain in the articles of the constitution.
