Yeah, there are some lovely turns of phrase here. But they're made possible because the two states in question did such a piss-poor argument in support of preventing same-sex couples from wedding. Once they couldn't say "Gays are icky" or "God demands it," they were stuck with arguments like "Tradition allows us to deny people legal protection and benefits!" and "Only straights need to be encouraged to marry because otherwise they'll just drop babies all over the place out of wedlock."
With openings like that, the material practically writes itself.

Excerpts of delicious gay marriage decision from Reagan judge: “Discrimination against same-sex couples is irrational, and therefore unconstitutional.”
….I need to go over this slowly. oh, so slowly. 🙂
The full decision is here: http://media.ca7.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/rssExec.pl?Submit=Display&Path=Y2014/D09-04/C:14-2526:J:Posner:aut:T:fnOp:N:1412339:S:0 — the excerpts are the highlights, but the overall decision is thorough (and brutal).
