This is one of my favorite movies. It's not Shakespeare, but it's got good music, good actors, good humor, good drama. It's an entertaining couple of hours, and that's the kind of thing I like.
A ★★★★ review of Sneakers (1992)
It’s hard to decide what has aged most in this film: the computer technology, the geopolitics, or the idea that the NSA is “the good guys.” Regardless, despite all of those elements, this is a cute and entertaining flick with grand performances by a remarkable cast. The basic McGuffin thesis of “knowledge [well, control of information] is power” remains valid, and the conflict between ideology and human connections remains fresh. Nice music, good…
This is definitely one of my enduring favorites.
