You don't see a lot of FX in the Teaser Trailer, but the basic theme of search and discovery is there, loud and strong. Now if they can get the other basic theme of family, then it should be pretty decent at the core.
Well, as long as we have TAK-A-TAK-A-TAK cosmic rays involved. Some things cannot be sacrificed.
No, this is actually a remarkably low-key trailer for a comic book movie. That bodes well, too, I think.
Looks good.. I like the serious look of it.
But Dr. Doom is a blogger! How can I subject myself to that?
"Comments are CLOSED! So posts DOOM!"
This may be one of those movies better considered as an Elseworlds / Multiversity (yes, I know those are both DC) variations on a theme. If done well on its own terms, I'm willing to accept it.
You mean an issue of What If?! 🙂
I wouldn't read a comic with that premise. I may eventually catch this on TV (I still haven't seen the "Galactus is a cloud" movie), but I swear by Aunt Petunia's little tootsies that I won't pay to see it.
+Scott Randel Yeah, but What If? always had a "here was the decision point" feel to its parallel universes, whereas the Elseworlds bit were usually profoundly different.
At this point, I'm about 45% likely to see it. I need to see more, but this trailer has actually improved my feelings about the movie.
