A good reason to drink beer from bottles

Is the BPA in beer can linings (and many other canned goods, for that matter) a health risk? No worries — I prefer beer from a glass container anyway.

  1. +Clinton Hammond I consider the FDA to be a minimal gate to considering things safe. EFSA's clearance of current BPA levels is a bit more reassuring.

At any rate, I'll continue to drink my beer from bottles where possible, largely for taste reasons, but I won't be giving up my cans of tomato sauce or anything. I'll also keep monitoring the literature.

  2. +Doyce Testerman Soda cans would fall into the same category.

And that's my concerns about the regulatory agencies in these instances; they should be acting solely on science, but it does seem too often that they act or rule for political reasons (in both directions).
