I'm not sure if most of this is indicative of what comic books believe of the female form as much as just lazy artists. Still, though, oy…. 🙂
+Mark Means I do think, to some degree, that it is both a matter of companies intentional targeting a "centerfold" demographic and, in turn, favoring artists that draw that way, including ones known for their "erotic art" or for doing swipes from pornos in drawing their female characters.
It's not universal, to be true; there are a lot of artists out there who don't go to these, um, extremes. But there are still plenty of them.

Possibly but, on the other hand….why not? It is a factor that helps sells comics, right?
