Maybe I'm just in my self-serving DST-hating echo chamber of friends and associates and co-workers and media … but does anyone actually like changing the clocks twice a year?
I mean, yeah, if we went off of changing the clocks (whichever way we do it), people would find something to bitch about that, too, but really … is that any worse than the current goofiness?
Hell, let's be like India and split the difference.
Problem is, I'd want dst to be the year round standard.

That is because it is the better argument. I have to sit in an office all day staring at the sun, but not actually being in it. I don't like it when the sun is already gone when I get out at 5pm.
