An interesting idea. The uber-competent husband-and-wife (or ex) vibe could work well, with the right stories to push them together (and pull them apart), and I've enjoyed both of their work on MAoS, but the idea of running it in parallel to the mother show sounds like it's pushing the audience a bit too far. We'll see.

Adrianne Palicki & Nick Blood Eyed To Topline ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Spinoff
EXCLUSIVE: As ABC and Marvel are prepping a spinoff from sophomore drama Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., I have learned that Season 2 cast additions to the mothership series Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood…
I'd rather see it as a replacement, a la Agent Carter.
I'm not sure a can take a whole show devoted to these two. I fear I'll grow tired of the banter rather quickly.
You're getting to be popular enough, Dave, that your G+ posts are getting spammed now.
Considering that M:AoS is rather meh, with occasional moments of entertainment, not sure that a spin off of two barely interesting characters is necessary.
"Meh" is subjective. There are plenty of people who don't feel that way, and that can make this a good move for the studio and network.
I find reality shows to be less than "meh." that does not mean that they aren't cash cows for those who make them.
Hopefully it will be better than AOS
+Scott Randel I can never get tired of good banter.
+Les Jenkins Apparently. I'll take that as a … um … complement.
+Stan Pedzick I actually think they are likely to do better running solo than as part of a large team. While I've found the broadening of the MAoS umbrella to have some positive aspects, it's also crowded out more in-depth stories, to the detriment of most folk who are not Skye.
+Dave Hill So very tired of Skye.
I rather like the format of Agent Carter and the Netflix shows — limited episodes, a closed storyline. If they go that route with Bobbi and Hunter (or even a FitzSimmons limited series), I could get behind it.
+Stan Pedzick Skye has (the household consensus has it) gotten too whiny. She started off as an independent, defiant figure, and has gotten progressively more put-upon and whiny about it.
+Dave Hill whereas I just don't care about her in plot line at all, and since her plot line is pretty much the entire show, it is a great big pile of meh that is getting very close to being removed from the DVR.
I am seriously hoping for a major payoff from that plot line, because it's really sucked the life out of everything else going on.
