Having both business traveled and B&Bd in the UK, I knew a lot of these (the switches and voltage), though I never noticed about the window screens before. Fun stuff.
(As always, I'm sure that all these generalizations have regional, modernity, and personal design decision variations, except for maybe the switched outlets, which seem ubiquitous.)

I finally tracked down this video as the one that autoplays whenever I visit or return to your home page. It takes a while to scroll down, find it and stop it. This is incredibly annoying.
