Hrm. Color me worried. It's going to be tough to do this without it being tongue-in-cheek. You can do B-Movie Adventure Plots and play it mostly straight (see: Indiana Jones), but it's a delicate balancing act.
Plus, of course, there's a slew of impolitic aspects to the JQ canon, not the least of which was the treatment of anyone not a white male American. Sinister Orientals, mystical Indians, pugnacious pygmies … lots of land mines there. Not to mention how to deal with the dearth of women (aside from Jade Jezebel) in the original.
On the other hand, if done well, I would give them All the Money. So there is that.
