We should get rid of our monetary system, which is in essence metric. Maybe start using knuts, sickles, and galleons.
+Scott Randel Sadly, reforming English monetary system with a decimal one was the only place where the movement toward metric ever stuck (aside from sneaking it on on alcoholic beverages).
In one of their early series, Monty Python had an entire sketch that referred to older British monetary units, and then ran a caption stating that the script was written before decimalization.
My father in law just made a comment a few days ago: the good thing about a Toyota is that you know that all of the parts will be metric. For Ford et al, it's a mix of metric and American parts.
