    Mind you, municipal tap water in some locales is pretty nasty (Southern California comes to mind), but there are plenty of filtration systems that can fix that up in a way that doesn't turn water into a $5/bottle hugely wasteful commodity.

  2. I drink tap water, although it doesn’t taste terrific, so I use a Brita pitcher. I have what my friends laughingly call a “sippy cup” that I take with me, so I don’t have to buy bottles of water whilst away from home.
