… Is the chance to watch Ted Cruz and his zany father Rafael melt down over it. Such as Rafael's suggestion that those "evangelical Christians" who have been voting (in plurality, at least) for Donald Trump instead of the guy who counted on them, Ted Cruz, aren't real evangelicals after all.
'“Well, I think that they’re defining evangelicals in a very loose manner,” he said, “If we look at the numbers, those that are people that call themselves born-again Christians that are committed to the Lord, we won overwhelmingly among that group. Unfortunately — and this is a message that I have been carrying to America, as you said, for several years — there are too many people in the church that have actually become lax about the word of God, that they are being more concerned with being politically correct than being biblically correct, they have diluted the word of God in order to be palatable to everyone.”'
Granted, I can't imagine why anyone who professes a deep belief in Jesus and the Good Word would find rude, boasting, egotistical, impious Donald Trump a supportable candidate. (At least Cruz puts on a show of some form of Christian values.) But for the senior Cruz to make support of his some sort of litmus test for who are the True Christians(TM) is, to say the least, unseemly. Possibly even un-Christian.

Well, according to Rafael, God has spoken on the subject of His preferences in the US Presidential election…
“My son Ted and his family spent six months in prayer seeking God’s will for this decision. But the day the final green light came on, the whole family was together. It was a Sunday. We were all at his church, First Baptist Church in Houston, including his senior staff. After the church service, we all gathered at the pastor’s office. We were on our knees for two hours seeking God’s will. At the end of that time, a word came through his wife, Heidi. And the word came, just saying, “Seek God’s face, not God’s hand.” And I’ll tell you, it was as if there was a cloud of the holy spirit filling that place. Some of us were weeping, and Ted just looked up and said, “Lord, here am I, use me. I surrender to you, whatever you want.” And he felt that was a green light to move forward.”
America's popcorn growers and the ghost of Michael Jackson once again give profuse thanks for this year's Republican presidential race.
So does this mean Cruz will be stepping out of the race and resigning his seat? He just fired his communications director for posting a video attacking Rubio and questioning his religious beliefs. Cruz is now on record saying,"“Even if it was true, we are not a campaign that is going to question the faith of another candidate.” Opps, apparently it is ok to call into question the religious beliefs of the electorate, just not other candidates..
