Woah! Many pants turned yellow and brown that day. At least my would have.
And what's crazy is the plane came down safely. Air travel really has come a long way.
That will buff out
The cowling of the engine is designed to contain a catastrophic explosion in the engine. Clearly it worked. Hat tip to the folks that built that engine.
