I've seen a lot of footage of the protests going on in various cities over Trump's winning of the presidency. Very little of it resembles what the word "riot" implies (and much of that seems trumped, so to speak, by post-sportsball championship shenanigans).
But looking at the bigger and more meaningful picture here … well, I have to pass you on to +Les Jenkins, who has neatly dived into several threads of thought that were banging about my head the past few days about differences (and similarities) between how the citizenry react when a Democrat loses vs a Republican losing.

Well, they did riot actually, just not the day after. They waited a few months and the TEA baggers rioted in DC and at every congress critters meetings and offices.
My sainted wife (who has lived in the Big City and also in Rural Indiana) notes that … well, if Clinton supporters are largely urban, and Trump's supporters (extended back to previous campaigns) are largely rural … which group do you expect to see protesting in the city streets?
