None of this is to say that terror by Islamist militants isn't a real thing (though where and how it's a danger is certainly up for debate), but that it's not the only terror / ideologically-based killings that are going on out there. But the Republicans and the Right have managed to consistently shut down attempts to address militia / skinhead / white supremacist terror (and are moving to do so again) in favor of those brown people who wear funny clothes and don't go to the right church.
It's distasteful to argue over which terrorist groups are "worst" or "most dangerous" or "scariest." But hiding our heads over white folk just as eager to kill for their beliefs as any ISIL fanatic doesn't make anyone safer, except, perhaps, those who aren't afraid that they will be targeted.
