Hey, Donald — what's shaking?
===
► Had a very good call last night with the President of China concerning the menace of North Korea. [1]
Tease.
Or is this message just to make us think that the Chinese President was cowed by your tweets at him that he needed to get off the stick and help solve the North Korea problem (in exchange for a "far better trade deal"? [2]

It's law and order time!
You retweeted the Justice Dept:
► Attorney General Sessions Announces the Justice Department’s Renewed Commitment to Criminal Immigration Enforcement https://t.co/cXV4LDKhR6 … “Together, we will drastically reduce the danger posed by criminal aliens, gang members, & cartel henchmen.”—Attorney General Sessions [7]
You accompanied that with your own bit of hyperbole:
► Gangs & cartels that flood our country will no longer be able to profit from their lawlessness, turn cities into warzones & harm our people! [8]
Not sure which cities / war zones you're referring to, Donald. Care to elaborate?
In the memo you mention,[9] Sessions basically ratchets up all prosections around illegal border crossings:
'Sessions directed federal prosecutors in a memo to give priority to prosecuting those who smuggle more than three people into the country and those who’ve made repeated border crossings. He proposed felony prosecution for people with two or more prior misdemeanor convictions for improperly entering the U.S., and he ordered prosecutors to get tougher on those who re-enter the country after being deported or who are found guilty of identity theft.
Sessions’ memo also called for giving top priority to undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of an aggravated felony, pose a danger to public safety or have prior administrative or criminal violations. He asked prosecutors to consider gang affiliations and "other aggravating circumstances" when moving ahead with cases.'
Most of which sounds fine, Donald, in terms of prosecuting people who are real and present dangers — though "prior administrative … violations" and "identity theft" sort of includes a broad swath of folk who buy a fake Social Security card for work, or have previously been identified as being present in the country illegally. I.e., pretty much anyone CBP can lay their hands on — even if they are in the US having fled from a war zone, not because they're gang members or cartel henchmen.

► Great win in Kansas last night for Ron Estes, easily winning the Congressional race against the Dems, who spent heavily & predicted victory! [3]
Riiiiight. An "easy" win …
'In Kansas, the Republican candidate, state Treasurer Ron Estes (R), won the race — but by a narrow margin of just under seven points, much worse than other Republican candidates have received in the district. By comparison, President Trump won the district by a 27-point margin in 2016. In 2012, Mitt Romney beat President Obama there by more than 25 points.' [4]
The GOP candidate in that House seat has won by 20-35 points every year since 2002, Donald.[6] You won the district by 27 points. This guy won by 7. Does that worry you at all, Donald?
And about that heavy spending — who was it who was paying for your, and VP Pence, robocalls around the district, sending Ted Cruz there to stump for the GOP candidate, and buying the last few weeks of expensive TV ads? If nothing else, the national Dems underspent compared to the Republicans, who pulled in over $150K from national GOP sources.[5,6]
Granted, you're the party of deep pockets, Donald, but …
It's going to be an interesting year.
