Morning, Donald. I have to say, your tweets since last we checked in have been … very cheerful. Upbeat. Hyperbolically optimistic. I would think you were selling me something, Donald, or maybe campaigning for President.

It's morning in America!
► Economic confidence is soaring as we unleash the power of private sector job creation and stand up for the American Workers. #AmericaFirst [2]
► One by one we are keeping our promises – on the border, on energy, on jobs, on regulations. Big changes are happening! [3]
► Jobs are returning, illegal immigration is plummeting, law, order and justice are being restored. We are truly making America great again! [4]
To be fair, there are a few things in that Litany of Joy that bear a passing resemblance to reality.
— Economic confidence surveys, among consumers and industry, are indeed high.
— Cross-border illegal immigration does appear to be way down.
— You are keeping a number of campaign processes to start getting rid of government regulations, dumping climate change counter-measures, and getting rid of things that keep companies from making money hand over fist dumping toxic sludge in drinking water killing off employees through unsafe practices creating jobs.
On the other hand, campaign promises to get rid of the ACA, and implement tax reform, and solve the problem of ISIL within the first 30 days of your administration … those promises seem to be not happening so much. And you seem to have dropped your pledges to mark China as a "currency manipulator," or get rid of the chair of the Fed, or all sorts of other economic hard-Right stances you campaigned on vigorously last year.[12]
And with retail bankruptcies hitting post-Great Recession highs[10], and a related disappointing job growth number for March[11], alongside exaggerated job claims[13], all that may spell problems with that "confidence" stuff, Donald. Esp. if we start getting into a few shooting wars …

… and on that note, over in the weird world of foreign relations …
► Great meeting w/ NATO Sec. Gen. We agreed on the importance of getting countries to pay their fair share & focus on the threat of terrorism. [1]
Apparently you've come to the conclusion that NATO is no longer "obsolete," Donald.[9] That's good news, I guess — though your taking credit for NATO expanding its role in anti-terror activity, or in increasing member budget contributions (NATO members increased their individual defense spending by $10B last year), still comes off as self-serving.
► I have great confidence that China will properly deal with North Korea. If they are unable to do so, the U.S., with its allies, will! U.S.A. [5]
Wait — did I actually hear you talk about our "allies"? All those deadbeats who expect the US to give and give and give and never pull any of their own weight? Those allies, Donald?
Which allies in the region do you expect to help "properly deal" with North Korea, Donald? What does that actually look like? Is South Korea going to do something aggressive against its nuclear-armed neighbor? Is Japan? Are they going to be happy if you keep rattling sabers in the region, Donald?
► Things will work out fine between the U.S.A. and Russia. At the right time everyone will come to their senses & there will be lasting peace! [6]
That would be the Russian government that, just hours after meeting with your Secretary of State, vetoed a UN Security Council resolution condemning the Syrian government's chemical weapons attacks on its people?[7] What on earth makes you think that at some hypothetical "right time" that folk will "come to their senses"?
Especially since you just came off of saying that US/Russia relations are at an "all-time low." and that "we're not getting along with Russia at all."[8]
What is the message you are trying to send here, Donald? Unless you mean that Americans will eventually "come to their senses" about how lasting peace and acceptance of Russia is the "fine" course to take. Because that would be … even more worrisome, Donald.

Trump overstates job creation numbers under his administration
It’s unclear where Trump’s figure came from.
TERMINATE TRUMP.
+mike perkins If by "Terminate" you mean "Fire," I appreciate the sentiment — though, frankly, "President Pence" is even more chilling of a prospect.
+Dave Hill
terminate.. to dismiss from a job.
True…But pence won't kill us all.
Obama did this same thing for 8 years.
It hasn't even been 100 days and people just expect trump do to everything. Bunch of chuck schumer's puppets.
+mike perkins True, but he'll certainly make us all wish he had.
+Joe Martin Which "thing"?
+Dave Hill Drummed up economic numbers.
+Axel xXx People only expect him to have done everything because he said he was going to. Repeal Obamacare? Week 1, maybe even Day 1. Fix taxes? Get China labeled a currency manipulator? Day 1! Get rid of ISIL? Day 30! (Or at least, Reveal His Master Plan to Get Rid of ISIL? Day 30!)
It's not so much that anyone except the most rabid supporters expected him to do it — it's that he said he would, they thought he would, and he hasn't.
Ah. Well, if Obama did it, it must be okay if Trump does it.
Of course, I actually cited Trump doing it.
Trump has accomplished much more than Obuma done 8 years under his admin.(if anything valuable) to America in 83 days!!!
Trump will do more in stages, needed time to complete all of what have been said. So far, he has. Been doing a marvelous job! Repeal and replace ObamaCare to TRUMPCARE! America First!
+Joe Martin prove it😔😔😔
+Axel xXx no not everything…just have an orderly whitehouse…this is the worst 100 days ever!!!!!!!👅👅👅
+LARRY BLAZE B That's easy Obamacare is way over budget and costs way more than lying Obama touted….even Bill Clinton said that.
Job creation has still beaten estimates so………… MAGA 2020 butthurt Hillary supporters
And most of the job's are crap😉
+Valadaveir The Impaler According to who ? first it was "Trump isn't going to create jobs" now its " The jobs sucks anyway"
They're going to tell u anything to make themselves look good it's happening all over the western world sad and true.
+Joe Martin so y people loving it ???? An that way over budget thing….naaaaah…more like sabotaged 😃😃😃😃😃
