A beautiful and thought-provoking anime that cuts occasional plot corners and ultimately runs out of things to say and so it stops.

My daughter’s off to see the new ScarJo live-action movie of GitS this weekend, so I opined that she should really see the anime first. I watched it a couple of weeks ago, and had forgotten how horrible the dub is on that one. 10 minutes into it I switched back to the subtitles.
That said, it is still a fantastic movie that I should pull out and watch more often. I followed it up with watching GitS: Innocent, which, while being more of a straight forward crime/action movie is still stunningly gorgeous to watch.
+Stan Pedzick Since we were streaming it, I didn't have the option to shift to sub from dub. Alas.
+Dave Hill ahh, that sucks. Yeah, the original voice acting really helps the movie, one thing the dub pretty much kills.
