Don't over-analyze. Here's what happened: Trump was walking down Air Force One and said to everyone, "Hey, here's a desk! Let me sit at it and you all crowd around me, like we do at the Oval Office! And then we'll take a picture!"
I mean, if Trump saw THIS desk he'd have everyone crowd around for a picture.
