I generally loathe Deadpool in the comics, but the first movie (when I finally brought myself to watch it) was a hoot-n-a-half, and this one looks even better. Not for the violence or obscenity faint-of-heart, but I’m okay with that in measured doses.
(I think the distinction is cross-overs. I’m fine with stand-alone Deadpool movies, even if they play with Fox’s corner of the Marvel Universe. But I would hate to see him ever, ever, show up in a mainstream Marvel Studios MCU movie. He’s like mint chip ice cream: enjoyable on its own, but not what you want to mix with your fettucine alfredo, your chili con carne, or your PB&J.)
Yep, same. I dislike the crossover comics but the movie was the best supers movie that FOX has put out. It was funny, a lot of fun in his own little universe, and it was right up there with the Marvel Studios movies.
Glad that you finally got to see it and enjoyed it.
that was the worst front flip ever
but funny
Self-referencial super hero can use tropes and skewer tropes at the same time, making the film layered as well as funny. And for me, the violence is so over the top it's unrealistic.
+Mary Oswell Yup. That's part of the appeal of the stand-alone movies, but why I wouldn't want to see him show up in Infinity Wars or something.
We loved the first one and I’m really looking forward to this one, as well as worried they will screw it up.
@Marc – The buzz about it is good, for whatever that’s worth.
its auusm movie
