    Fun fact: the Constitution says nothing about how Electors themselves are selected, delegating it to each state's legislature. In theory, state leges could select electors themselves, rather than hold elections.

    I will be the first to admit to the Democratic party (and Democratic politicians) often being disappointing, even outrageously so. But I won't play at false equivalency games. Republican party, politicians, and policies are almost invariably worse.

    The Founders were aghast at the idea of party politics, as they saw in England, and tried to build a system that wouldn't include it. Within just a few elections, party politics were all the rage, with two of those Founders, Adams and Jefferson, at the heart of the partisan bickering.

The only real way to change the system would be to spend a good decade or more informing the public on the flaws,and getting into office politicians (through the vote) to call for a Constitutional Convention. Then maybe the EC could be done away with. Until such time,far fetched as it may be,we have to work with what we have,and the reason it's so bad now is because too many have adopted the belief you have that voting doesn't matter. That let's those with bad intentions that do vote make everything a mess for all of us.

    Frankly, anyone who repeatedly makes spelling errors, has difficulty in using polysyllabic words, and generally has a light grasp on diction or grammar is unlikely to have come up with this himself.
