Ran into this amazing piece of, um, fear-mongering propaganda while watching some TV this evening.
Future45 was a conservative SuperPAC in the 2016 election that was initially anti-Clinton, then went silent when Trump cinched the GOP nomination and their big donors bailed, then was revitalized by the Ricketts (Ameritrade, Chicago Cubs) and Sheldon Adelson with eight-figure donations, and spent the rest of 2016 slamming Clinton some more. In the 2018 cycle they've spent over $4M, basically distributing tripe like this.)
I don't usually post about conservative political ads, except when I'm really angry about them, but this one is so bloody over-the-top that it's just plain old funny, complete with scary sound, meant-to-be-scary images, and typically zany pictures of various non-GOP politicians that are meant to be … well, scary. It's all so hyperbolic as to be giggle-worthy.
I would criticize per se the message that "Voting any Democrat is bad, so vote all Republican," but since I've seen plenty of people advocating the reverse, that's tough to do (except to the extent that I think you'll go far less wrong voting all-Dem than all-GOP).
More right wing bs. Move along!
