The so-called "Liberty Council" is gravely concerned that if sexual orientation and gender identity are called out as an illegal motivation for lynching people, the next thing you know you won't be able to discriminate against LGBT* folk at all! Gads!

An evangelical nonprofit is asking lawmakers to remove language from a federal anti-lynching bill that protects Americans on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity before the legislation becomes law.
