No training wheels!
UPDATE: Katherine brought her bike, with Training Wheels, up to Kendall and Tyler’s. By the time Margie got home, her discovery that Tyler was sans TWs made it an imperative for her to try.
We went around the block to the cul-de-sac in the middle of the Circle. One of the problem we have here (unlike the streets we both grew up on) is that we have a very slopey driveway and street. The cul-de-sac gave her a chance to start out on level ground, with room to work in.
She did great. A little trouble getting a forward/upward pedal, a struggle to work the brakes, and a bit of scariness when she got on a downhill path and had problems stopping. But overall — oh, yeah!
