The down side for next week’s business trip: Pretty much the entire week (leaving mid-Monday, getting home late Thursday).
The up side: Visiting two new states (New Hampshire for the meeting, and dinner one night down in Boston, MA).
The upper side: No ties! Woot!
Well, I guess we’ll pass in the sky then as I’m flying back from Albany on Monday. And no, I didn’t choose Albany, it’s the closest airport to Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame where, on Sunday, I’ll watch Tony Gwynn inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Grats, Tony!
NH is a nice place, and is pretty much lush and green this time of year (especially with the rain we’ve been having). But I’m completely with you on the negatives of 4-day business trips.
And it’s not like I’m going to be touring NH or anything. Airport, hotel, office, shuttles all around.
Still, beats going to Houston.
Perhaps our schedules can align?
Since you’ll be that close…
That’s what I mentioned to him, Mal. 🙂
Unfortunately, I’m afraid it’s not likely. I get in Monday night, and everything is pretty tightly scripted until I head to the airport Thursday afternoon. And with my boss there, and two direct reports (including one from the UK), I should probably stick with the program.
Alas.
If I do get back there again under more relaxed circumstances, though …
