The Denver Dumb Friends League wants to expand its spaying and neutering services for cats in the metro area. With the help of some generous grants, they've opened up a special spaying / neutering clinic where they'll fix cats brought in for free. Their goal is to fix 10,000 more cats than they normally do.
There are so many cats out there (as a visit to the DDFL shelters demonstrates). Fix Fluffy so that they don't add to the problem.

I suspect PETA will go after them on the basis of the organization name alone.
They do sometimes play down the full name (which meant something different when they were founded). I think it's still charming and unique. PETA's perspective notwithstanding.
(PETA would probably object to spaying, neutering, and the whole idea f "pets," too.)
