A bit of Personal Holiday Cheer

I finally got my mom’s not-actually-eggnog “Recipe” up on my wife’s recipe. She originally scribbled it down on the back of a bill envelope in 1975 when she heard Mike Roy on the radio (or maybe saw him on TV) giving it. With variations, it’s been a standard for Christmas Morning Gift-Giving at her house ever since.

And now will be for many years to come.

Y'know, as a convicted criminal, I'm not sure I'd be encouraging the police to rough up, assault, or kill suspects, even for just one day.

But, no, as his campaign says, it's not a *real* policy proposal. Just another chunk of red meat / dopamine for his rabid followers, who love the idea of beating up "other" criminal suspects.

This man should be let nowhere near the White House, ever again.

Though better known these days for Harry Potter and Downton Abbey, she nabbed Oscars earlier in her 70-year career for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969) and California Suite (1978).

Just back from a week-long vacation up into Yellowstone and back down through the plains of SD, WY, NE.

And since we were in Nebraska, and so much brouhaha has been raised of late about #Runza ... we stopped at one to try it out.

I will not say it was life-changing, because it wasn't, but the car consensus is that it was tasty and worth stopping at again in the future ... should we be again in Nebraska.
