Vegetation

As part of yesterday’s errands, we visited Tagawa Gardens. It’s been too long since we’ve been there, as it’s one of our favorite nurseries / garden centers.

We had laid out what in the front yard we wanted to do and where, so we had a list of plants, or plant types, we wanted.

Not surprisingly (ooooh! pretty!) we ended up with more than expected. We were saved by their roses being mostly off sale (there were no roses on the list — well, maybe one — but it would have been difficult to resist had there been the normal many, many racks of pots of roses on sale).

They were celebrating the birthday of their (current) mascot, Gray Kitty, with an animal rescue fair, so we spent some time petting kitties and puppies and rabbits and so forth. We got a nice discount on our purchase by making a donation to a group that does spaying/neutering of feral cats.

So today … planting! Woot!
