Hmmmm … and here we are, with the increasing divisions within society … increasing efforts by more and more to marginalize the poor, the foreign, those from outside orthodox religion are considered increasingly to be disloyal Americans … the demand for respect only for those who toe the corporate line, the government line, the conservative line, the orthodox line … and for those in power (except when they’re from a group that Shouldn’t Be in Power) …
Hmmmm … increasing gap between the wealthy and the poor … increasing concentration of land ownership … increasing consolidation of corporations, including the media … release of unfavorable information to the public under increasing criticism by the government … media outlets tied ever-more-closely to political parties …
