- Consistent Conservative: Delaware Blogger Opposes Government-Sponsored Sectarian Prayer « The Wall of Separation – For too many “conservatives,” conservatism is more about keeping things as they were (or as we’d like to think they were), rather than about personal freedom or small government, etc. Thus, church-state entanglement is an appeal to a simpler time, and to an authority by which to beat back social changes that have occurred in the last half-century. It’s reactionary, not classically conservative.
